Job Summary
Conduct daily property inspections and verify conditions meet company standards while managing resident ledgers and accurate reporting. Handle rent posting, delinquency collection, eviction processes, and daily deposits. Secure lease renewals, prepare new lease paperwork for approval, and tour prospective residents. Assist with hiring and training new staff, monitor resident satisfaction through surveys, and host appreciation events. Develop knowledge of area competitors and oversee property operations when the Community Manager is absent.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years' experience as an assistant manager
- 3 years' experience in property management
- Fair Housing training
- CAM certification
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office & Yardi products
- Ability to keep sensitive information highly confidential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal professionally with clients, vendors, and co-workers on the phone and in person
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to take initiative, use good judgment, demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail, and carry multiple projects through to completion
- Ability to work independently, prioritize work and ask for further clarification when necessary
- Ability to work under pressure with tight time constraints, as well as the ability to deal with frequent interruptions, unresolved situations, frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
- Professional standard of appearance
- week-end hours
- Sundays – Thursdays, 9am – 6pm ET
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Bookkeeping/account reconciliation experience
- Property management experience with focus on lease-up and mixed-use communities
- Experience with YARDI
