Job Summary
Leasing Manager will oversee leasing operations including site selection, rental negotiations, lease administration, subleasing, budgeting, and reporting to optimize occupancy and financial performance. The role requires strong analytical skills, market knowledge, and expertise in lease negotiations. Responsibilities include conduct market research and site surveys, evaluate FMV via rental comps, oversee lease negotiations and compliance, monitor landlord payments and NNN charges, manage subleasing plans, drive tenant outreach and retention, develop leasing budgets and forecasts, track lease documents and performance metrics, and lead internal leasing teams with training and guidance. Occasional travel to local sites is required. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Real Estate/Business/Finance, 7+ years in leasing management or related fields, proficiency with property management software (e.g., Yardi), and strong negotiation and risk-analysis capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 7+ years of experience in leasing management, commercial real estate, or property operations, prior experience managing and mentoring leasing teams is strongly preferred.
- Experience with budgeting, rent reconciliation, and financial forecasting.
- Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, leasing CRM systems).
- Strong understanding of lease negotiation, FMV assessments, and financial risk analysis.
- Understanding of lease regulations, subleasing compliance, and risk management.
- Ability to review, interpret, and provide feedback on lease agreements and financial reports.
- Ability to identify and resolve lease-related issues proactively.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple leasing projects and deadlines.
- Strong negotiation skills to engage with landlords, tenants, and internal stakeholders.
