Job Summary
Greet prospects, qualify them using guest cards, and secure deposits while maintaining Fair Housing compliance. Prepare move-in packages, process applications for credit and rental history approval, and input all data accurately into the Yardi System. Record telephone and in-person visits immediately, file guest cards, and inspect units to communicate service needs to the Community Manager. Monitor advertising effectiveness, gather market competition data, and assist with renewal notices and payment collection. Accept payments promptly to the Assistant Community Manager and review lease paperwork with the manager before signatures. Work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, representing the company professionally at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in working with the public and/or sales
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Fair Housing Certification, or willingness to obtain before interacting with prospective residents
- Demonstrate an ability to support and contribute to the community team
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills
- Operate telephone, personal computer/keyboard, Microsoft Office including Word and MS Outlook, and community software
- Must possess a positive attitude and the ability to smile under all circumstances
- Participate in training to comply with new or existing laws
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Two (2) years experience in previous relevant customer service
- Neat, clean, and professional throughout the workday and/or whenever present in the community
- Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the employee handbook
- Demonstrate ability to diffuse and respond to customer concerns to avoid escalation of the problem
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
