Job Summary
Conduct leasing of apartment units by greeting prospects, completing guest cards, and qualifying residents on type, size, price, and amenities. Schedule tours, collect required information, and obtain picture I.D. before showing units. Use RealPage OneSite for screening and manage lease agreements, including collecting initial rent and deposits. Assist with move-in processes, walk units for readiness checks, and handle maintenance requests. Proactively contact residents with expiring leases to propose renewals and monitor property landscapes for safety hazards. Help plan social activities and maintain accurate resident files in compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- 1-3 years of experience in leasing, sales, and/or customer service
- Experience working at a Low-Income Housing Tax Credit, HOME, HUD, or other income restricted affordable housing program
- Familiar with federal, state, and jurisdictional laws and regulations concerning multi-family housing and Fair Housing
- Customer service skills and conflict resolutions skills to resolve issues
- Sales knowledge and abilities to sell products and services to new and existing customers
- Skill and ability to communicate verbally, clearly, concisely, and in writing
- Organizational skills to maintain records and schedules
- Ability to visually inspect units, grounds, and other aspects of the property to determine adherence to standards
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and RealPage OneSite
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and maintain appropriate discretion
- Must abide by Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) leasing duties
