Job Summary
Leasing Consultant responsibilities include presenting apartments and provided amenities in a positive light to prospective tenants, building rapport with current and prospective tenants, preparing and executing lease agreements and addendums, maintaining apartment availability and unit status records, coordinating with maintenance for property upkeep, screening prospective tenants for eligibility, overseeing tenant orientation, handling office tasks and answering phones professionally, following up on service requests, and managing rent-related payments. Must have prior leasing or sales experience, strong communication and multitasking abilities, familiarity with Yardi and CRM, and an associate degree (or high school diploma/GED with relevant leasing experience) plus multi-family or administrative background.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree preferred although a high school diploma or GED with verifiable Leasing Coordinator experience will also be considered
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in leasing, hospitality, or administrative work
- Experience with Yardi and CRM
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills
- Ability to multitask during busy periods
