Job Summary
Greet prospective and current residents, conduct community tours, and assist with the leasing process from inquiry through move-in. Process rental applications, lease renewals, and related documentation while preparing files for move-in and recertification to maintain compliance with HUD, Section 8, and LIHTC regulations. Respond to resident questions, concerns, and service requests, and inspect community appearance to coordinate with maintenance staff. Ensure adherence to Fair Housing laws, company policies, and applicable laws while promoting a welcoming, inclusive environment. Support marketing initiatives and outreach efforts to drive occupancy goals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Current automobile insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Previous experience in leasing or a related field
- 1+ years in LIHTC or affordable housing experience
- Knowledge of HUD rules and regulations, as well as policies and procedures of low-income housing programs
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to build rapport, overcome objections, and effectively close leases
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
- Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel
- Basic math and financial comprehension skills
Desired Qualifications
- College degree
- Experience with Yardi, ResMan, On-Site, or other property management software
- Bilingual skills
