Job Summary
Leasing Consultant at Habitat America for Victoria Park Weymouth in Waldorf, MD. Responsible for day-to-day leasing and administrative operations to maintain strong occupancy and deliver an outstanding experience to prospective and current residents. Duties include greeting and assisting residents, conducting property tours, presenting features and benefits, handling leasing inquiries by phone/email/in person, processing rental applications in compliance with Tax Credit (LIHTC) guidelines, maintaining leasing files, assisting with income certifications and recertifications (Tax Credit experience preferred), managing office tasks (phones, filing, data entry, administrative support), coordinating with property management staff for resident satisfaction, supporting marketing and outreach efforts to sustain occupancy, and delivering customer service aligned with Habitat America's standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of property management experience in a leasing consultant or similar role (required)
- Experience with Tax Credit (LIHTC) housing strongly preferred
- Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to close leases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional demeanor and energetic personality
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Proficiency with standard office software and property management systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
