Job Summary
Greet prospects, qualify them using completed guest cards, and secure deposits in accordance with Fair Housing requirements. Prepare move-in packages, lease paperwork, and applications for approval by processing credit checks and rental history. Record all telephone and in-person visits, file guest cards, and inspect models to communicate service needs to the Community Manager. Monitor advertising effectiveness, gather market competition data, and professionally represent the company while accepting rental payments. Input information accurately on the Yardi System, review documents with the Community Manager before signatures, and assist with monitoring renewals and various team tasks. Work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in working with the public and/or sales
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Fair Housing Certification, or willingness to obtain before interacting with prospective residents
- Demonstrate an ability to support and contribute to the community team
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills
- Operate telephone, personal computer/keyboard, Microsoft Office including Word and MS Outlook, and community software
- Must possess a positive attitude and the ability to smile under all circumstances
- Participate in training to comply with new or existing laws
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Two (2) years experience in previous relevant customer service
- Neat, clean, and professional throughout the workday and/or whenever present in the community
- Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the employee handbook
- Demonstrate ability to diffuse and respond to customer concerns to avoid escalation of the problem
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
