Job Summary
Leasing Community Intern supports leasing operations and customer service at the community. Responsibilities include greeting prospective clients, answering leasing calls, presenting the community and apartment homes, using feature/benefit selling, closing sales, following up, completing lease applications, maintaining lease files, and participating in Cardinal Way of Leasing training. The role requires on-site duties, on-call responsibilities (lock-outs, nightly rounds), and availability in evenings and weekends. The intern will assist with planning community events, assist with various projects, and participate in Cardinal U training as required. On-site environment includes both indoor and outdoor tasks with physical demands such as lifting up to 40 lbs and occasional local travel; candidates must be enrolled in a degree program, maintain a 2.5 GPA, and be a current or future leaseholder living on the designated community floor.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university, with a minimum of 6 credit hours
- Must have completed a minimum of one year at the enrolled accredited college or university
- Must maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average
- Must be a current or future leaseholder of community
- Must live on designated community floor, per community guidelines
- Valid driver’s license
- Available to be scheduled for work approximately 20 hours per week
- Available evenings and weekends
- Ability to embody the Cardinal Culture and Cardinal’s Core Values every day
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs
