Leasing Associate - Tax Credit

Job Summary
Conduct leasing activities by signing lease agreements, collecting deposits, and managing initial housing applications. Maintain property readiness by ensuring model and target apartments are clean and orderly, while handling resident move-outs per policy. Market the community through tours, answering inquiries, and promoting amenities. Develop and maintain a resident retention program, manage all resident and property files, and handle complaints with courteous efficiency. Ensure compliance with HUD rules, Fair Housing laws, and tax credit expertise for assisted housing tenants.
Required Qualifications
- Tax credit expertise: Minimum 1+ years of tax credit (LIHTC) experience
- Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience in residential leasing or multifamily property management
- Direct experience using RealPage / OneSite, Yardi, or similar property management software to manage leads and resident files
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong familiarity with HUD rules, regulations, and policies governing low-income housing programs
- Working knowledge of Fair Housing laws, household income qualifications, and the resident re-certification process
- Proven track record in property leasing, sales closing, and providing exceptional customer service
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on rigorous lead follow-up via phone and email
- Must be able to read documents, computer screens and data
- Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
- Must be able to use mobile devices and applications for work-related tasks
- A flexible schedule is required and hours include weekdays, nights, and weekends (including Saturdays and Sundays) as needed to meet business needs
- Employment with RPM Living is contingent upon successful completion of a background check as local and federal state requires
- A valid driver's license is preferred; candidates without a license will be provided a liability waiver
