Job Summary
Conduct leasing, marketing, and resident relations for public housing developments by handling lease signings, collecting deposits, and managing move-outs per policy. Market the property through tours and community promotions while maintaining clean work areas and orderly common spaces. Develop and maintain an ongoing resident retention program, manage all resident and property files, and address complaints courteously. Ensure thorough knowledge of lease terms, HUD rules, and low-income housing policies. Complete initial applications and re-certifications for assisted housing tenants. Maintain market awareness by regularly reviewing competitive properties.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years tax credit experience
- Property leasing, sales and/or customer experience
- HUD rules and regulations, as well as policies and procedures of low-income housing programs
- Excellent follow up skills via email and phone
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel
- Must be able to read documents, computer screens and data
- Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
- Must be able to use mobile devices and applications for work-related tasks
- A valid driver's license is preferred; candidates without a license will be provided a liability waiver
