Job Summary
The Leasing Agent is responsible for professionally qualifying prospective residents and follow-up with them for the ultimate purpose of renting suites. Responsibilities include advertising and showing units within the Residential Tenancies Act and Human Rights Code, checking credit references, collecting rent, processing application forms, handling calls, escalating issues to the Property Manager, and completing move-in/move-out inspections and all related paperwork. Must have knowledge of the Landlord-Tenant Act and Human Rights Code, strong customer service and communication skills, problem-solving ability, ability to multitask, work independently or in a team, and bring enthusiasm and energy. Education required: high school diploma or 5 years related experience; experience renting apartments and assisting tenants; valid driver’s license and insurance; experience in sales is an asset.
