Job Summary
Greet and qualify prospective residents, assess housing needs, and present available apartments professionally. Ensure all leasing activities comply with Fair Housing, ADA, and other relevant laws while conducting eligibility verifications and income targeting. Complete leasing documents including applications, addenda, income certifications, and leases, then accurately enter and update applicant information in leasing software systems. Maintain and update required reports on leasing activity, file paperwork accurately, and organize events or conduct outreach to support marketing efforts. Monitor property turnover, inspect move-outs and vacancies, and ensure apartments are market ready. Support residents during move-in and orientation, provide prompt responses to service requests, assist with rent collections, and maintain the waiting list in accordance with compliance regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of on-site property management or leasing experience
- Illinois Real Estate Leasing Agent License
- Proficiency in leasing software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

- Communication – Clearly articulates information verbally and in writing; adapts communication style for diverse audiences
- Attention to Detail – Completes leasing documentation accurately; maintains well-organized records

- Initiative – Self-motivated and able to follow through on assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision
- On-site position with standard office hours

Desired Qualifications
- Experience in affordable housing programs (e.g., LIHTC, Section 8)
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree
- NALP (National Apartment Leasing Professional) designation
