Job Summary
Present properties and amenities to prospective tenants while acting as a landlord to help owners navigate the market. Advertise available units through various media and determine the needs and economic viability of prospective customers. Confirm rental application data, verify personal references, and negotiate leasing terms to close deals. Stay knowledgeable of property market status and provide information on expansion, zoning, and crime. Ensure proper maintenance by inspecting properties periodically and answer phones for general office duties. Create memos, maintain tenant files, and coordinate monthly activities while using statistical data for resident turnover analysis.
Required Qualifications
- knowledge of HUD regulations/policies
- Ability to use statistical data for the recertification process
- Ability to determine resident turnover and reasons why residents are moving
- Ability to determine resident needs
- Ability to communicate with residents, other site-level staff, corporate office staff, vendors, and contractors
- Ability to organize and maintain tenant files
- Ability to coordinate monthly activities
- Ability to maintain waiting list
- Ability to design flyers, calendars, bulletin boards, activities and forms
- Ability to promote property through marketing and leasing efforts
- Ability to motivate others
