Job Summary
Greets prospective residents, completes guest cards, establishes program eligibility, and conducts tours to secure applications from qualified persons. Prepares and qualifies applications for approval based on rental criteria, performs move-in inspections with Maintenance Director and new residents, and completes annual recertifications with all HPD PBV residents. Notifies applicants of results, establishes move-in dates, and completes lease paperwork including addenda, rent acceptance, and file organization. Meets individual and/or property monthly leasing goals while conducting all business in accordance with Fair Housing laws and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in the field of leasing
- experience with affordable housing programs (Rent Stabilized, Low Income Housing Tax Credit, Project Based Section 8)
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in marketing
- Proficiency with MS office suite - Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Yardi software knowledge
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Must be able to work both independently and in a group setting
- Must be able to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
- Conducts all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing laws, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other laws pertaining to Affordable Housing
