Job Summary
Leasing Agent responsibilities include presenting properties and amenities in a positive light to prospective tenants, showing units, following up with assigned prospects, processing rental applications and online registration, and coordinating with Property/Leasing Manager on availability and maintenance. The role requires maintaining awareness of inventory and pricing, persuading prospects to sign leases, conducting property tours, and ensuring lease data and references are accurate. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with Yardi are valuable. The schedule is full-time with weekend availability; physical activities include walking properties and stairs, with occasional lifting. The position emphasizes high-energy customer service, negotiation, and timely communication with prospective residents.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in a customer-contact capacity or customer-service role
- Past real estate leasing experience preferred
- Ability to use computer programs such as Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook
- Willingness to work flexible schedule - weekends and evenings after 5pm
- Yardi experience is a plus
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs; walk property for tours
- Occasionally lifting and carrying objects up to 25–50 lbs
- Performing tasks that may require bending, stooping, or reaching
