Job Summary

Manage prospective resident leads by following up daily via phone, mail, or email and converting inquiries into tour appointments. Qualify residents, tour properties, and lease apartment homes while assisting with applications and maintaining detailed records. Conduct daily walks of interior apartments and exterior amenities to ensure market readiness and curb appeal, coordinating move-in/out schedules with maintenance. Orient residents, enter service requests, and deliver notices as needed. Complete weekly leasing reports and stay engaged with competing communities through regular visits. Participate in corporate outreach and resident activities to drive retention. Maintain a valid driver's license and comply with all fair housing and safety regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean driving record
  • Current auto insurance
  • Capability to read, write, comprehend, and converse in English
  • Ability to use general office equipment, such as telephone, fax machine, printer, copier, and key track system
  • Must maintain a regular schedule which may necessitate working overtime, weekends, and non-traditional holidays
  • Required to complete and successfully pass the Chapman Management Fair Housing, Diversity, and Inclusion Training within the first 30 days of employment
  • Must comply with all safety requirements

Desired Qualifications

  • A minimum of one year of previous sales or customer service experience
  • One year of previous residential leasing experience
  • Basic level knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • LIHTC Experience
  • Prior experience in Entrata or another equivalent system
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to others
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of management effectively and sensitively
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to relay technical concerns with adequate detail, quickly and accurately
  • Bi-lingual
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to cope with and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people
