Job Summary
Monitor control panels to ensure materials are pumped at correct pressure, density, rate, and concentration. Operate engines and pumps to shut off wells per production schedules, switch flow to storage tanks, and start compressor engines to divert oil and recover natural gas. Perform routine maintenance on equipment, repair gas and oil meters, unload pipes, and attach pumps to wellheads. Supervise oil pumpers and other workers engaged in producing oil from wells. Follow lock-out/tag-out procedures, ensure contract workers wear appropriate PPE, and report environmental spills immediately. Maintain mechanical equipment including ATVs and water pumps. Work in Rawlins, Wyoming, with a valid driver's license and good driving record.
Required Qualifications
- Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required
- Must have a good driving record and a valid driver's license
- Always were appropriate PPE (FRC, hard hat, steel toed shoes/boots, safety glasses and hearing protection)
- Drive appropriately for the conditions, always wear seat belt, do not use phones in any way while operating a vehicle
- Follow lock-out/tag-out procedures when opening any piping or working on equipment including electronics
- Follow call-out procedures when on call
- Ensure contract workers in your area are wearing PPE and working in a safe manner
- Implement stop work authority as needed
- Report environmental spills immediately and erosion as it is found
- Ability to identify and fix most issues with limited or no direction
- Basic computer skills (excel, word, outlook)
- Ability to understand gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure equipment is working properly
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
