Job Summary

Lease & Real Estate Specialist at ThompsonGas with high autonomy, responsible for managing lease lifecycle across a multi-site portfolio. Independently handle renewals, relocations, expansions, consolidations, terminations, option exercises, and lease abstraction. Serve as a primary contact for landlords and external partners, coordinate with Operations, Finance, Legal, and vendors, and support lease negotiations alongside Legal and the Director of Real Estate. Maintain lease data accuracy, ensure regulatory tracking, analyze lease scenarios, identify risks and cost implications, and support acquisition/onboarding activities with documentation and system setup. Requires strong attention to detail, ability to manage deadlines, and structured analysis to inform decision-making, without owning overarching enterprise real estate direction.

Required Qualifications

  • Minium 5+ years of experience in lease administration, real estate operations, property management, or commercial real estate transactions (or equivalent hands-on experience in a related field).
  • Strong working knowledge of lease administration, lease interpretation, and real estate transaction processes, including renewals, amendments, and terminations.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate or support negotiation of lease terms and effectively communicate with landlords and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working with lease management systems, property management platforms, or similar databases (preferred but not required).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review lease documents, identify issues, and support decision-making with clear, structured information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal stakeholders, landlords, and vendors.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive business and lease information appropriately.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to think independently, evaluate options, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Customer-service mindset with the ability to address tenant, landlord, and internal stakeholder needs in a responsive and professional manner.
  • Collaborative team player who can work independently while supporting broader real estate and operations objectives.

Desired Qualifications
