Lease Accounting Manager, Americas

Maintain a comprehensive and accurate lease database, capturing all relevant lease terms, renewal options, amendments, and critical dates. Analyze and interpret complex lease contracts to determine appropriate accounting treatment in accordance with IFRS 16, ensuring accurate entry and management of lease data within SAP. Oversee lease-related activities in financial close cycles, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting, while coordinating monthly fixed and variable rental payments with Accounts Payable. Collaborate with Real Estate, Legal, and FP&A to document new leases, conduct CAM reconciliation audits, and prepare sales reporting for landlords. Monitor changes in lease accounting guidance, implement process improvements, and serve as the primary subject matter expert for the Americas region, providing guidance to Mexico and Brazil. Act as a strategic business partner to support informed decision-making and ensure compliance with internal controls and external audit requirements.
