Job Summary
Collaborate with teachers to support students in specific learning areas, including English as an Additional Language (EAL) acquisition and literacy. Implement adjustments to learning materials and environments based on Individual Learning Plans while documenting progress and providing feedback to staff. Maintain regular communication with leadership regarding student performance and strategies, and participate in education and wellbeing meetings as required. Assist in preparing curriculum resources, set up equipment, and attend excursions and school events with students. Fulfill duty of care responsibilities with discretion and confidentiality, adhering to the School's Occupational Health and Safety and Child Safe Policy. This role supports young refugee and asylum seeker women in a specialist, inclusive senior-secondary school environment.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate III or IV in Education Support
- Diploma of Education Support

- Relevant learning support experience
- Working with Children Check
- 100-point Proof of Identity
- Knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Child Safe Standards
- Evidence that the applicant has completed training in Child Safety within one month of commencement

- Demonstrated capacity to work in a team environment both independently and with others
