Job Summary
Organize lessons and activities for small groups of elementary students struggling with reading and math. Collaborate with general education teachers to implement and monitor the learning support program, using data to determine initiative effectiveness. Maintain accurate records of individual student progress and communicate updates to parents. Design a creative schedule to maximize student participation while maintaining small group sizes. Work effectively with students, staff, and parents to support academic success. Requires a teaching certificate, reading endorsement preferred, and ability to lift.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with education related training
- Teaching certificate
- Ability to assist students to achieve academic success
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff and parents
- Understand the developmental needs of elementary school students
- Self-motivated, dependable, responsible, flexible, independent and resourceful worker
- Effective use of relevant technology
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Must sign a confidentiality agreement
- Must sign a technology agreement
- Must be available and able to perform duties of job position
- Requires lifting
