Learning Support Officer

Learning Support Officer to assist teaching staff in an inclusive learning environment for students with diverse learning needs. Responsibilities include building trusting, strengths-based relationships with students, collaborating with teachers and wellbeing staff, communicating progress and needs, completing administrative tasks in the Student Management System (Compass) including IEPs and attendance, providing individual or group support, accompanying students on excursions and camps, applying effective classroom management, and upholding Child Safe Standards and codes of conduct to ensure a safe, supportive learning environment. Mandatory qualifications include a Certificate III in Education Support or equivalent, a current Working with Children Check, and a clear Police Check; Level 2 First Aid is desirable. The role is part-time, based in Dandenong, Victoria, Australia, with in-person remote option.
