Job Summary
Implement a range of strategies to support diverse additional learning needs, tailoring approaches to each individual's Education, Health and Care Plan. Assist teaching staff in delivering outstanding learning, interpret instructions to ensure equal access, and provide 1:1 or small group support for study skills, pastoral needs, and community access. Maintain accurate departmental records, contribute to setting and monitoring individual targets, and facilitate work experience opportunities. Work in different settings to support learners, both practical and classroom-based, while adhering to confidentiality and safeguarding guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Holds or is willing to work towards a Level 2 Learner Support Certificate
- Level 2 qualifications in Maths
- Level 2 qualifications in English
- Experienced in supporting individuals in educational settings
- Experience supporting 16 -19 aged learners
- Experience supporting individuals with learning difficulties and/or disabilities
- Good understanding of inclusive learning
- Enhanced DBS check, including the barred list
- Willingness to travel to different work locations
