Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain online courses and educational materials within the Blackboard LMS, collaborating with faculty subject matter experts to enact curriculum modifications. Customize the platform for assignments, assessments, and discussion boards while ensuring accessibility standards and user-friendly experiences. Provide troubleshooting, training, and support to students, faculty, and staff on Blackboard usage and platform capabilities. Prepare courses for the start of the term, manage the master course library, and ensure accurate data transfer between the LMS and student information systems. Monitor analytics to assess course effectiveness and generate reports for leadership and the IE Director. Stay current with Blackboard updates and integrate with other systems as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Earned master's degree from an accredited institution
- Degrees in Instructional Design, Education Technology or related field
- Doctorate
- Minimum 2 years of academic and/or administration experience
- Proven expertise in Blackboard
- Strong knowledge of e-learning principles
- Instructional design methodologies
- Adult learning theory
- Experience with e-learning authoring tools
- Multimedia software
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Collaboration skills
Desired Qualifications
- Degrees in Instructional Design, Education Technology or related field are preferred
- Doctorate is preferred
