Job Summary
Collaborate with faculty to develop engaging learner-centered course materials for in-person, online, and hybrid courses while providing pedagogical consultation following OLC OSCQR rubric standards. Act as project manager for online and hybrid course design, managing multiple tasks and stakeholder deliverables to ensure quality and timeline adherence. Contribute to the creation of new digital learning assets, assignments, and instructional design materials while assisting faculty with periodic quality reviews. Maintain working knowledge of emerging technologies and higher education trends to support meaningful connections in the online learning environment. This remote temporary position ends in November 2027 and reports to the Manager of Learning Design within the Library and Academic Technology Services team.
Required Qualifications
- Masters of Instructional Design or related field of study
- Three years of relevant professional experience
- A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement
- Demonstrated experience as an innovative Learning Experience/Instructional Designer
- Strong understanding of instructional design models and principles, educational theory, and instructional technology
- Experience developing engaging instructional materials in Canvas or other learning management systems such as Blackboard, D2L, Moodle, etc.
- Strong communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Ph.D./Ed.D. in Instructional Design
- Higher education teaching experience
- Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite and Articulate 360
