Learning Engagement Business Partner

Job Summary

Build strong relationships with leaders across the credit union to identify performance gaps and translate business needs into learning solutions. Conduct needs assessments, develop learning roadmaps, and facilitate instructor-led, virtual, and blended programs for employees and leaders. Collaborate with instructional designers and subject matter experts to design comprehensive initiatives covering compliance, sales excellence, and operational training. Manage projects from assessment through implementation while applying performance consulting principles to drive organizational effectiveness. This hybrid role requires three days of on-site attendance in Santa Ana and California residency.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in training and development, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or Talent Development experience in a corporate environment
  • Proven ability managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Strong performance consulting and needs assessment skills
  • Knowledge of credit union rules, regulations, and policies
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
  • Ability to align learning initiatives with business strategy
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication abilities
  • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing and excellent telephone manner
  • Experience interpreting business metrics and learning analytics
  • Ability to accurately perform mathematical calculations
  • Ability to create and maintain accurate reliable records
  • Knowledge of change management principles
  • Proficiency with learning technologies, learning management systems, and Microsoft 365 applications
  • Ability to influence without direct authority
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Requires good memory, knowledge retention skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize projects and duties effectively
  • Ability to interface with others in a positive and professional manner
  • Goal-oriented with a desire to work in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently and be self-directed when necessary as well as the ability to work and accomplish goals in a team environment
  • This position is currently hybrid-eligible, with the expectation of three days pre-assigned on-site attendance
  • This role requires California residency and living within a 50-mile commute of our headquarters in Santa Ana
  • Pre-employment screenings, including background and credit checks, are required

Desired Qualifications

  • Financial services, banking, or credit union experience strongly preferred
  • Proven business partner, consultant, or relationship manager experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in training and development, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field preferred
