Learning Disability Community Leader

The Community Leader (Director) at L'Arche Edinburgh oversees housing support and care services for 16 adults with learning disabilities across Leith/restalrig areas, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care and sustainable operations. The role requires senior leadership with experience managing large teams, budgeting and financial planning, strategic development of community plans, collaboration with internal teams and external partners, fundraising awareness, and alignment with L'Arche’s mission and values. It involves regular on-call duties, some evening/weekend work, travel within the UK, and PVG criminal record checks. The successful candidate will lead the community to maintain financial sustainability, maximize occupancy, supervise care contracts, and advocate for the voice of people with learning disabilities while fostering partnership with the National Leadership Team and external stakeholders.
