Job Summary
The City of South Fulton seeks a Learning & Development Trainer to design, develop, coordinate, and facilitate training programs across all departments. Responsibilities include delivering instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning experiences; assessing training needs; developing materials (presentations, manuals, job aids); coordinating leadership and supervisory development; maintaining training calendars and records; overseeing compliance training; evaluating training effectiveness; supporting succession planning and workforce development; collaborating with department leaders; administering learning management systems (LMS) and online learning platforms; researching industry trends; preparing participation and completion metrics; supporting employee engagement and culture-building; and facilitating workshops, seminars, leadership academies, and professional development programs. Preferred qualifications include local government experience and LMS implementation, with CPTD/CTDP certifications highlighted.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, Public Administration, Communications, or a related field
- Three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in training, learning and development, organizational development, human resources, or a related field
- Experience designing, developing, and facilitating employee training programs
- Experience creating training materials, presentations, and learning resources
- Experience utilizing adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
