Job Summary
The Learning & Development Specialist assists in planning and implementing employee learning programs for the credit union. Responsibilities include creating and presenting orientation and training programs, tracking employee progress, maintaining training records, and evaluating training effectiveness. The role requires strong communication and presentation skills, proficiency in multimedia training platforms, and Microsoft Office. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred experience in adult training, credit unions, and lending.
Required Qualifications
- A high school education or GED required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills required
- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods
- Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives
- Ability to design and implement effective training and development
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software
- Ability to analyze data for equitable resolutions
- Proficient with problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work regular full-time hours
- Must hold a valid driver’s license and able to operate a motor vehicle for travel to branch offices
- Must be bondable
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software applications
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of adult training experience preferred
- Minimum of two years of credit union experience preferred
- Minimum of two years of lending experience preferred
- LMS platform experience is a plus
- Experience with Articulate a plus
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time (6 to 7 hours per day)
- Must be able to view a computer screen, use a keyboard to enter information, and manipulate a mouse
- Job includes some repetitive hand/wrist motions
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
