Job Summary

Collaborate with hiring managers to align onboarding plans and coordinate scheduling for orientation and training programs. Identify opportunities to streamline and automate onboarding processes in UKG and other tools, while analyzing feedback from satisfaction surveys to recommend improvements. Maintain onboarding documentation to ensure compliance with legal standards and stay informed on employment regulations. Work with HR, IT, and cross-functional teams to refine the employee life cycle and deliver a seamless transition for new hires. This full-time role reports to the Learning & Organizational Development Manager and supports the Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance team in delivering exceptional service to new team members.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in new hire orientation and onboarding, HR/corporate training, and related administrative role
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clear and professional interactions with new hires and relevant stakeholders
  • Resourceful, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency and a 'let's' / 'can do' attitude
  • A passion for creating a positive and efficient onboarding experience for employees
  • Experience facilitating employee training sessions or similar group presentations
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as HR, IT, and hiring managers
  • This is a full-time role
  • Hybrid schedule: 2 days remote / 3 in‐office
  • Predictable hours (no nights, weekends, or holidays)
  • This role may be based out of the Wilkes-Barre location
  • The successful candidate is expected to work in one of our offices 3 days per week
  • The successful candidate is expected to be available for travel as required

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies or automation tools to optimize workflows is prefrerred
  • Understanding of employee engagement strategies and tools is preferred
