Job Summary
The Learning & Development Specialist designs, delivers, and optimizes training programs for banking operations to support regulatory readiness and high-quality service. Responsibilities include developing onboarding and ongoing training for customer-facing and internal teams; creating and maintaining training materials (presentations, job aids, procedures); ensuring content is accurate, audit-ready, and aligned with banking policies and regulatory requirements; coordinating with operations, mortgage servicing, and compliance to identify skill gaps and implement targeted trainings; managing LMS-based onboarding progress and course completion; and supporting training initiatives for system updates and new regulations while providing coaching and follow-up to reinforce learning.
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in Learning & Development, training, or a related role, preferably within banking or a regulated environment
- Familiarity with banking operations, policies, and regulatory requirements
- Experience developing training materials, including presentations, job aids, and procedural documentation
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills, ability to train both in-person and virtually
- Proficiency in technical writing and clearly documenting policies and procedures
- Experience with or exposure to Learning Management Systems (LMS) for training assignment and tracking
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail, with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams including operations, compliance, and leadership
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with eLearning tools is a plus
