Job Summary
Create and develop engaging, outcome-based learning content and assessment activities for Individual Learning Modules by collaborating directly with subject matter experts. Analyze current curriculum to identify training needs, design delivery within specified parameters, and support SMEs in creating exercises that enhance learner retention. Apply instructional design theories and Universal Design for Learning principles to produce high-quality resources in print and digital formats for adult students. Work within a project team to align content with institutional and provincial learning outcomes while managing multiple deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Education, Communication, Distance Education, Digital Media Design, or similar field
- Degree is preferred
- Post-secondary education in Learning and Instructional Design, Adult Learning, e-Learning, or related education is an asset
- 3 years experience in curriculum development, learning design, and adult education, preferably in the post-secondary context
- 2 years experience in product development, educational publishing and/or educational content development is an asset
- Experience in project management is an asset
- Equivalencies may be considered
- Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services (WES), International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS), or the Comparative Education Services (CES)

- Learning and Instructional design, teaching methods and practices, and educational technologies for in-person, online, blended, and virtual learning for adult education
- Strong digital technology skills
- Demonstrated fluency in industry standard software and technologies, with an interest in learning and apply new or emerging technologies
- Familiar with and comfortable using computer applications relevant to course design and development such as Microsoft Office Suite, screen capture, graphic design/editing, and video/virtual conferencing
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
