Learning Design Specialist — Medical Device (Hybrid — Maple Grove, MN) Possible Temp-to-Hire

Job Summary

Design and develop high-quality learning materials, including instructor-led training resources, e-learning storyboards, videos, and simulations, with clear performance-based objectives. Conduct needs assessments in partnership with Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams to identify learning objectives, audience characteristics, and performance gaps. Create comprehensive curricula aligned with organizational goals and ensure logical sequencing. Develop engaging, interactive learning experiences leveraging adult learning theory and cognitive psychology. Manage multiple projects simultaneously to ensure deliverables are completed on time and within budget. Collaborate with Sales Training Managers, Product Marketing, and stakeholders on strategic projects, new product launches, and training campaigns. Provide quality assurance reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with Quality System, Compliance, and Legal requirements. This role supports the urology sales organization within a Fortune 500 Medical Device client.

Required Qualifications

  • BA in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Learning Sciences, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years instructional design, curriculum development and technical writing experience
  • Basic proficiency of Articulate Storyline (or similar e-learning authoring tools) to develop a Tier 1 training and LMS
  • Proficiency with Microsoft product suite (TEAMs, SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design models (e.g. ADDIE, SAM), and learning theories
  • Demonstrated ability to take the initiative and work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation in learning design
  • Ability to quickly grasp new terminology (i.e. medical terminology, sales terminology)
