Job Summary
Provide instruction and support for students with Mild/Moderate disabilities across settings per district curriculum, at a rate and level commensurate with established student expectancies and IEP goals; participate in co-teaching as needed; initiate or participate in IEP meetings; utilize district-approved behavior modification techniques to implement IEP goals; maintain IEP records and related due-process documents; communicate with families to partner on student learning; establish a safe, respectful classroom environment and monitor student progress toward IEP goals; lift/maneuver/position students as required by IEP; reflect on practice to inform instruction; evaluate subordinate personnel; and collaboratively support diverse learners across multiple elementary locations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree including courses needed to meet credential requirements
- A valid Mild/Moderate credential or equivalent or combination of credentials authorizing service in a specific disability and at the level of this class description
- English Learning Authorization
