Learning Academy Teacher

Job Summary
Learning Academy Teacher supports students in the Learning Academy and collaborates with classroom teachers to ensure high-quality, student-centered instruction. Responsibilities include daily resource support, assessing student progress, fostering academic and personal growth, teaching one section of a subject-specific course, shadowing students in mainstream classes, implementing student accommodation plans, communicating progress to parents and to the Director of Academic Services, planning and delivering differentiated lessons with technology integration, managing a positive classroom environment, supporting social-emotional development, and participating in professional development and Catholic-school activities while upholding Notre Dame Prep’s mission and Catholic identity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or in specific subject area being taught (e.g., English, History, Mathematics, Science, etc.). Focus in Special Education and Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid teaching certification or licensure required (state or subject-specific certification where applicable).
- At least 1-3 years of teaching experience at the high school level preferred, but not required.
