Job Summary
Senior Lean Specialist to drive LEAN transformation in continuous paper manufacturing processes, coaching across Lean methodologies and leading kaizen events to improve machine efficiency, energy usage, and process changes. Responsibilities include developing LEAN application guides for continuous processes (paper machines, pulping, chemical recovery), adapting SMED and standard work for continuous environments, enabling rapid upskilling of Lean practitioners, co-facilitating kaizen events, and integrating LEAN with TPM for paper machines and converting equipment. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 10+ years in continuous process manufacturing with at least 5 years in LEAN/CI roles; Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred. Travel is extensive (60–80%) for a two-year assignment. The role emphasizes coaching Site CI Managers, transferring knowledge to site teams, and partnering to achieve rapid transformation from forest to customer.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Pulp & Paper Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in continuous process manufacturing, with a minimum of 5 years in LEAN/CI roles within process industries
