Job Summary
Lean Manager to lead Lean business system implementations at Pentair's Venlo/Enschede sites. Responsibilities include aligning with the Enterprise team, organizing and delivering Lean training with standard collateral, creating Value Stream Maps (current/future states), defining SPQDCCP goals for Lean activities, facilitating multidisciplinary Lean initiatives, evaluating equipment automation to support Lean, communicating plans and results, and executing the Hoshin Kanri-aligned strategy while promoting Lean practices across the company and suppliers. The role requires strong coaching, facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with travel to Lean exchange events as needed.
Required Qualifications
- B.S in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 years of LEAN experience in manufacturing/project environment
- Managerial experience
- Lean tools expertise (VSM, 5S, Standard Work, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
- BS in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 years of experience implementing LEAN Manufacturing principles in a dedicated Lean role in a project business or manufacturing environment
- Managerial experience
- Advanced knowledge of Lean tools: Value Stream Mapping, Transactional Process Improvements, Process End-2-End Mapping, 5S, Standard Work, Creating Continuous Flow, Root-Cause Problem Solving in production and office environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all organizational levels
- Experience with TPS/DBS principles
- Ability to read and communicate in country of residence
- Six Sigma Master Black Belt / Black Belt level would be a plus
- Ability to project manage
- Demonstrated coaching/mentoring, facilitation, and presenting abilities
- Willingness to travel to other Pentair Businesses and Lean exchange events if required
- Experience with PDCA and Hoshin Kanri planning and execution
- Experience facilitating workshops and Kaizen events
- Ability to promote Lean practices throughout the company and external suppliers
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of equipment automation considerations to support Lean implementations
- Knowledge of value stream mapping and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience coordinating cross-functional Lean activities
- Experience in a manufacturing or project-based setting
