Job Summary
SLMS Engineer focused on implementing Summit Lean Manufacturing System across the plant; leads SLMS audits and kaizen activities, analyzes manufacturing methods for process improvement, work balance and cost reduction using kaizen mindset and standardized work tools, teaches SLMS principles to all plant employees from shop floor to management, leads and manages projects with independent decision-making on the shop floor, and develops/maintains plant floor layouts; occasional travel to other SPI plants and strong emphasis on problem solving, data analysis, and coaching others to learn SLMS by doing.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering or related degree or 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
