Job Summary

Lead the deployment of Lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives across the Heavy Duty Services ITR Engineering organization. Partner with Engineering leaders to execute the improvement roadmap, facilitate Kaizen events, and drive Value Stream Mapping, Daily Management, and Leader Standard Work implementation. Coach teams in structured problem solving, visual management, and PDCA methodologies to enhance Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity. Facilitate Monthly Operating Reviews and Problem Solving Reviews to ensure timely completion of improvement actions and track realized benefits. Serve as an embedded Lean practitioner to develop organizational capability and share successful practices across Engineering groups.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in power plant engineering or related technologies
  • Proven experience driving Lean deployment, continuous improvement, operational excellence, or business transformation initiatives
  • Experience facilitating Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping, Daily Management, and structured problem solving
  • Proven ability to coach leaders and influence change within a matrixed engineering or operational environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate operational challenges into measurable improvements
  • Ability to manage multiple improvement initiatives while driving execution and sustaining results
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Desired Qualifications

  • Deep Lean expertise with a track record of applying Lean principles in engineering, manufacturing, or service environments
  • Experience coaching leaders in Daily Management, Leader Standard Work, and visual management
  • Demonstrated success facilitating Kaizen events and driving measurable business improvements
  • Practical experience with structured problem-solving methodologies including PDCA, A3, DMAIC, or TOPS 8D
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and build strong partnerships across engineering and business organizations
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills with the ability to engage leaders at all levels
  • Passion for developing Lean capability and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
