Job Summary
Lean Implementation Manager, Asia to partner with factories and Brooks offices across Asia to optimize footwear manufacturing processes, set strategy for future manufacturing direction, drive cost reductions, boost productivity, and enhance quality. Focus areas include lean strategy deployment, lean methodology rollout, change management, and problem solving; involvement in automation, digitalization, and standardization initiatives to improve performance, visibility, consistency, and scalability; collaborate with Development, Commercialization, Production and QA teams to align product and process objectives; plan and oversee equipment layout to maximize productivity; monitor cycle time and bottlenecks, and develop improvement plans where outcomes fall short. Strong relationship-building with leadership, ability to influence matrices, and demonstrated capability to drive optimization and automation in manufacturing environments are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or 5+ years of equivalent manufacturing experience
- 5+ years leading lean manufacturing in manufacturing; footwear experience preferred
- Direct supervision experience preferred
- Experience with VSM, Kaizen, A3 thinking, and daily improvement practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to drive innovation, initiative, and problem-solving across cross-functional teams
- Willingness to align with Brooks’ values and participate in Brooks’ community activities
Desired Qualifications
- Experience leading lean manufacturing in footwear or manufacturing industries
- Proven ability to deploy lean methodologies (VSM, Kaizen, A3 thinking)
- Experience with automation, digitalization, and standardization initiatives
- Strong change-management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Leadership experience and ability to influence factories and internal teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to engage in hands-on improvement projects and guide teams to implement solutions
