Job Summary
Manage approximately 10-12 CPI projects across various stages, leading cross-functional teams to define problems, create plans, implement customer containment actions, and investigate root causes for Torque Convertors, Transmissions, Axles, Final Drives, and CVTs. Facilitate solution creation, validation, and implementation while working throughout value streams to ensure worldwide optimal solutions. Regularly update publications and systems for dealer communication, summarize reporting to leaders and clients, and escalate roadblocks as needed. Mentor other project leaders and lead division-wide product and process improvement projects with a split of 50% technical leadership, 25% communication, and 25% value stream coordination. This role offers deep exposure across engineering, operations, supply chain, and dealers to drive real business results and accelerate career growth into future leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering or Business
- Six Sigma Methodology: Knowledge of the concepts of six sigma DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) methodology
- Active Learning: Understanding the necessity for continuous personal growth and learning
- Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis
- Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies
- Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner
- Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems
- Process Improvement: Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods
- Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics
- 3 - 5 years of professional level experience
- Demonstrated excellent project management skills
- Demonstrated excellent team leadership skills
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of other functions that provide inputs regularly, i.e., Product Development, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Operations
- Ability to learn quickly
- Ability to do quality analysis as needed
- Must be very customer focused
- Must be able to drive change throughout the enterprise effectively
- Must be able to manage risk and ambiguity on a project
- Must be able to work onsite five days a week
- Must be able to travel less than 10%
- Must pass a drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Equivalent level of work experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
- Top Candidates will also have 3 - 5 years of professional level experience
