Job Summary
Leak Detection Engineer responsible for real-time, computer-based monitoring of pipelines. Collaborates with operations engineers, controllers, SCADA analysts, vendors, and other engineers to formulate and execute leak-detection plans. Co-develops analytical tools and models to enhance control center capabilities and provides ongoing maintenance, tuning, and support of leak-detection systems and pipeline modeling software. Based in Lakewood/Denver area with full benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical)
- Minimum of 15 years of related pipeline experience
- Knowledge in hydraulics, automation, leak detection technologies, modeling, statistical analysis, measurement/instrumentation, and SCADA
- Experience with pipeline modeling software (Synergi, WinFlow, NextGen)
- Familiar with FERC regulations, tariffs, and contractual obligations
- Familiar with DOT, EPA, OSHA, and other pipeline safety and environmental regulations
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)
