Job Summary
Leadman Electrician role for commercial electrical projects in Jackson, MS area with travel to southeast projects. Lead small to medium projects (2-4 electricians) on commercial new construction or remodels, requiring expert electrical theory and NEC knowledge. Responsibilities include installing raceways, boxes, cables, lighting fixtures, switchboards, panels, breakers, and transformers; wiring terminations; basic testing and troubleshooting; reading blueprints and schematics; and coordinating project work. Travel and Airbnb are paid with per diem and mileage; project duration approximately 4 months with potential continuation, with possibilities to travel full-time after the initial project.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 8000+ Hours of electrician experience
- Current OSHA 10 certificate
- Valid state issued Driver’s License
- Current state Electrical Apprentice license preferred
- Formal trade school or apprentice program completion preferred
- Ability to lead small to medium size projects (2-4 electricians)
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Experience with NEC codes and calculations
- Ability to perform wire pulling and installation of raceways, boxes, cables, panels, breakers, transformers
- Basic testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems
- Travel readiness with housing and per diem provided while traveling
- Ability to pass criminal background check
