Job Summary
Batch ready mix concrete promptly according to job and ASTM Specifications while overseeing daily plant operations, maintenance, production, inventory control, safety, and environmental compliance. Schedule material deliveries for aggregates, cement, admixtures, fuel, and warehouse products to meet customer needs. Operate and drive light and heavy equipment safely, including trucks, loaders, and other plant machinery. Maintain plant equipment and yards in proper condition, perform daily material testing for moisture and air content, and ensure all employees work safely and consistently with company policies. Complete required reports including daily petty cash, CWC, environmental, and employee hour logs.
Required Qualifications
- Must have successfully completed the Batchman II Career Path competencies and it must be approved by a supervisor
- Minimum Class B CDL with air brakes
- Truck driving experience
- Good safety and driving records
- Excellent verbal, written and comprehension communication skills
- Ability to read, write and figure basic mathematical calculations and clerical skills
- Ability to create and maintain maintenance records
- Must possess a mechanical aptitude
- Willingness to work nights, overtime and weekends as required
- Excellent interpersonal skill and a positive attitude that fosters effective relationships
- Extensive knowledge of the surrounding area and company products
- Ability to work near, around or on light or heavy equipment
- Ability to lift objects of various dimensions and up to 100lbs. of weight frequently
- Ability to repeatedly climb stairs and climb ladders
- Ability to repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects
- Ability to use vibration tools repeatedly
- Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather conditions
- Ability to repeatedly reach, squat and tolerate prolonged standing / walking / sitting
- Ability to repeatedly walk on uneven surfaces
