Job Summary
Leading Hand (Mechanical) to supervise a small team of mechanical fitters and trades in planned and reactive maintenance of water and wastewater infrastructure in Brisbane. Responsibilities include coordinating maintenance activities, leading high-risk works, overseeing quality assurance, providing technical and planning support to engineers and operations teams, promoting safety and continuous HSE improvement, assisting with estimating and subcontractor engagement, and mentoring apprentices while supporting leadership development. Required Qualifications
- Trade Certificate in mechanical discipline
- National Licence to perform High Risk work (Desirable)
- Current Drivers Licence
- Experience on wastewater treatment plants and equipment (Desirable)
- Ability to lead and coordinate maintenance activities
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
