Job Summary
Leading Hand to coordinate daily operations of the Grounds and Facilities team at Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort. Provide hands-on supervision of the grounds and maintenance crew, coordinate labour resources, plan workloads, liaise with contractors, and ensure safe, efficient completion of landscaping, utilities maintenance, and common-area upkeep. Responsibilities include maintaining gardens and pathways, supporting utilities infrastructure (water, gas, electricity, digital services), rubbish and recycling operations, monitoring facility conditions, updating the Facilities Manager on progress and requirements, and acting as the Facilities Manager's delegate during leave. Emphasis on promoting a strong safety culture and adherence to workplace health and safety standards. Requirements include prior grounds/maintenance experience, supervisory experience, strong organisational and communication skills, ability to prioritise and coordinate resources, problem-solving aptitude, contractor engagement experience, WHS knowledge, current driver’s licence, and trade qualification or relevant maintenance experience valued.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, facilities, property maintenance, or a similar field
- Demonstrated experience leading or supervising a small team
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise workloads and coordinate resources effectively
- Practical problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance issues
- Experience working with contractors and external service providers
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices
- Current driver's licence
- Trade qualification or relevant maintenance experience highly regarded
