Job Summary
Lead donor engagement for Cornell's Annual Fund as part of the Alumni Affairs and Development team. Manage a portfolio of 160–180 prospects with giving capacity of $25K–$249K. Conduct a minimum of 200 meetings annually (>=150 for Annual Fund solicitations) and regularly solicit/close gifts or multi-year commitments totaling $25K–$249K. Maintain CRM reports and donor intelligence; collaborate with major gift services for acknowledgments and presidential correspondence. Hybrid work arrangement in Ithaca, NY with remote 3 days/week and on-campus 2 days/week.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 to 5 years relevant experience or equivalent combination
- Demonstrated success in relationship-based work with solicitation/closing in a metric-driven environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to craft multi-tier asks
- Strong analytical skills to assess donor capacity and next steps
- Ability to travel domestically and abroad; willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Valid driver’s license
