Job Summary
Lead, coach, and roster a team while solving problems collaboratively and maintaining high safety and quality standards. Train new starters, build crew capability, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced production environment. Coordinate labour, production, and operational priorities to achieve business objectives using analytical skills and business systems. Bring leadership experience from retail or fast food to manage frontline staff, keeping shifts running like clockwork under pressure. No horticulture experience required; we provide training on growing operations.
Required Qualifications
- Leadership or supervisory experience from retail, fast food, hospitality or a similarly fast-paced environment
- A track record of keeping a team on track in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to make decisions on the floor
- Reliability: someone your team and your manager can count on
- Experience in a fast-paced operational environment
- Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and developing frontline teams
- Experience in labour planning, workforce coordination and operational execution
- Experience analysing operational data, preparing reports and using business systems to support decision-making
- Experience driving continuous improvement, quality and safety initiatives in a fast-paced operational environment
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to build high-performing teams
- Ability to coordinate labour, production and operational priorities to achieve business objectives
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience using operational systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational data & insights and drive informed decisions
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety, quality standards and continuous improvement principles
