Job Summary
Manage the donor development cycle and stewardship for major gift and planned giving prospects, conducting discovery meetings to cultivate lasting philanthropic relationships. Research and qualify a robust pipeline of donors, then prepare detailed proposals, customized engagement plans, and high-quality materials including gift agreements. Implement a strategic engagement plan dedicating approximately 60% of time to in-person interactions while maintaining an annual target of 80% revocable and 20% irrevocable planned gifts. Collaborate with territorial and divisional teams to align donor strategies and stay informed on planned giving trends and legislation. Maintain comprehensive records in Raiser's Edge NXT to track interactions and progress toward fundraising goals.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary diploma/degree in Marketing, Business Administration or Fundraising
- Demonstrated experience in donor relations
- Proven ability to plan, lead, and deliver projects that meet organizational goals and outcomes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Collaborative team player with the ability to build and maintain strong partnerships across the organization
- CFRE or working toward CFRE designation
